Solar Solutions Built Around You
Solar isn’t one size fits all. The right solution depends on your home, electricity use, roof, budget, and long-term goals. Solar Panther helps Central Illinois homeowners understand their options before making a decision. We begin with an analysis of your property and energy use, then walk you through the potential costs, savings and tradeoffs of remaining with the utility, leasing a solar system or purchasing one.
If solar makes sense for you, our local team can coordinate the entire project — from system design and engineering to installation, utility interconnection, and ongoing support. If you already have panels that need attention, we can help with that, too. No predetermined pitch. Just a solar recommendation built around you.
A Solar System Designed for Your Home
A strong solar project starts long before panels reach the roof. Solar Panther evaluates the details that influence system performance, project cost and long-term value before developing a recommendation.
That may include:
- Your current and historical electricity use
- Roof age, condition and available installation space
- Roof orientation and shading
- Estimated solar production
- Your budget and financial goals
- How long you expect to remain in the home
- Available purchasing, financing and leasing options
- Current utility requirements and applicable solar programs
The goal isn’t to put as many panels as possible on your property. It’s to design an appropriately sized system around the way your household uses energy.
Once you decide to move forward, Solar Panther helps coordinate system design, engineering, permitting, installation, inspections, utility interconnection and applicable incentive paperwork.

Support From the First Analysis Forward
Solar installation can involve more than selecting panels and scheduling a crew. The Illinois Solar Energy and Storage Association describes site assessment, contractor selection, installation and financing as major parts of the process. In practice, homeowners may also encounter engineering requirements, municipal permits, utility applications, inspections and incentive documentation.
We provide one local point of contact throughout the project, explaining what is happening, what information is needed and what comes next. You don’t have to become an expert in solar terminology or manage every application yourself.
Solar Panther handles this process and all the paperwork and permits, so you don’t have to.
Help for the System You Already Own
Solar panels are designed for long-term operation, but equipment issues, storm damage, wiring problems or changes in system production can still occur.
Solar Panther provides solar repair, troubleshooting and maintenance services throughout Central Illinois. We service the systems we install and can also evaluate systems installed by other companies.
That’s particularly important for homeowners whose original installer has:
- Gone out of business
- Left the Central Illinois market
- Stopped providing service
- Failed to respond to warranty or repair requests
- In-house Warranties
You may have been left without an installer, but you don’t necessarily have to remain without support. Our team can inspect your system, diagnose the problem and explain the available service or repair options.
Keep the Power Flowing
- System performance inspections
- Monitoring and production diagnostics
- Inverter and microinverter troubleshooting
- Inverter replacement
- Equipment and error-code diagnostics
- Storm and hail damage assessments
- Panel and mounting-system repairs
- Hardware realignment
- System performance optimization
- Removal and reinstallation for roof work
- Service for systems installed by other companies
Local Support for the Life of Your System
Solar is a long-term investment, which makes the company supporting your system nearly as important as the equipment itself.
Solar Panther sells, installs, monitors, services and stands behind the systems we provide. If your system reports an error, experiences a drop in production or needs work years after installation, you have a local team to call.
Manufacturer warranties remain important, but warranties don’t diagnose the problem, coordinate the claim or complete the repair. Our team can help identify what went wrong, determine whether warranty coverage may apply and explain the appropriate next step.
Because Solar Panther is backed by Roof Tiger, we can also coordinate situations involving both systems. If your roof needs to be repaired or replaced after solar has been installed, you won’t have to independently navigate two unrelated companies.

the Science Behind Your Savings
Questions? Answered.
How Do I Know Whether My Home Is a Good Candidate for Solar?
Roof condition, available sunlight, orientation, shading, installation space, electricity use and your long-term plans can all influence whether solar makes sense. Solar Panther evaluates these details before recommending a system.
Does My Roof Need to Be Inspected Before Solar Installation?
Yes. Your roof should be able to support the solar system for years to come. If a roof is nearing replacement, it may be better to address it before panels are installed. Solar Panther’s sister company to Roof Tiger allows us to evaluate and coordinate both parts of the property.
Does Solar Panther Handle Permits and Utility Paperwork?
Solar Panther helps coordinate engineering, permits, inspections, utility interconnection and applicable incentive paperwork. Requirements and timing vary by project, municipality and utility.
Can Solar Panther Repair Panels Installed by Another Company?
Yes. We can evaluate and service many systems installed by other companies, including systems whose original installer has closed, left the area or stopped responding. Service availability depends on the system, equipment and nature of the problem.
Will Solar Completely Eliminate My Electric Bill?
Not necessarily. Most homeowners remain connected to the utility and may continue paying fixed charges, taxes, fees or charges for electricity used when the system isn’t producing enough to meet demand. The outcome depends on production, household use and the utility’s current rate structure.
Are Illinois Solar Incentives Available?
Yes. Solar Panther can explain programs that may apply and assist with applicable project paperwork.
What Happens After My Solar System Is Installed?
Installation is followed by inspections, utility interconnection and Permission to Operate. Once the system is activated, you can monitor production through the applicable platform, and Solar Panther remains available for questions and service.
